California Hwy 36 is a legend among motorcyclists in California. It was named as the Best Motorcycle Road in the State of California by the US Friction Zone Magazine. Hwy 36 is 140 miles of roller coaster and twisty fun rolled into one amazing road.
Hwy 49 links many of the mining towns that sprang up along the Sierra Nevada foothills during the gold rush of 1849. Lots of neat little towns, and neat corners.
The Quincy-Oroville Road is not very well known outside of northern California and it is not very easy to find. But it is a real gem.
