OK, not in the Dolomites, but Lake Como was on our way there. It is very picturesque with foothills of the Alps in northern Italy rising up from every shore. We traversed at least twelve passes in the Dolomites as we crisscrossed through the heart of these magnificent mountains. There is no doubt that the Dolomites deserve the UNESCO World Heritage designation.
